A 59-year-old woman in France has given birth by Caesarean section to triplets, who are said to be in good health, according to the Paris hospital that is treating them.
"Everything went smoothly," a spokesman at the Cochin hospital told Agence France-Presse. He said the babies, two boys and a girl, were delivered Saturday night
The woman, who is married to a man in his 40s, reportedly went to a private Vietnamese clinic willing to overlook the age limit set at 45 for egg donation and in-vitro fertilization, AFP reported.
But like the 59-year-old woman, age limits have not stopped other women from seeking IVF overseas.
Earlier this year, a 70-year-old Indian woman gave birth to twins after receiving IVF treatment.
And in May 2007, Frieda Birnbaum, 60, gave birth to twin boys, becoming the oldest woman to give birth to twins in the United States.
Birnbaum told FOXNews.com she underwent IVF in 2006 in Cape Town, South Africa.
The twins were delivered at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, N.J., via Caesarean section.
I just read that a Harvard study found that women who can sneak in at least seven hours of sleep a night are more likely to lose their baby weight by their tot's first birthday. They are so helpful!
Now, if you had your baby on a working schedule sleeping through the night does come fast! My current twins are 14 weeks (10.5 weeks adjusted) and sleeping on the average 7-8 hours a night. This week I hope to add one more. :) Let me know if I can help you! www.babiease.com
I was just look at an article in BabyTalk about every mom needing a "me" time. I was dumbfounded this me time is so important. What is now important is that you are a mother and have been given a blessing by God- a sweet little one(s)! What a gift! Why all the need for me time? It's not time to focus on the new change in your life. It's a time to give your love and your time to someone who needs you. These are good changes and should be enjoyed. Enjoy the diaper squirts, frequent hiccups, and content smiles!
“Here is a little mouth to kiss; here are two more feet to make music with their pattering about my nursery. Here is a soul to train for God, and the body in which it dwells is worth all it will cost, since it is abode of a kingly tenant. I may see less of friends, but I have gained one dearer than them all. Yes, my precious baby, you are welcome to your mothers heart, welcome to her time, her strength, her health, to her most tender cares, to her life-long prayers! Oh how rich I am, how truly, how wondrously blest!”

We read that the term "hiccup" derives from the sound of the event. But what really is the cause of those little hiccups that start in the womb and cause mommies stress with their newborn? Hiccups are a result of the diaphragm muscle separating the chest cavity from the abdomen goes
into a bit of a spasm, and the vocal cords snap shut, making the''hic!'' sound. I have found that hiccups may be triggered by relfux. It is one of the first signs of reflux. I have also noticed that when babies are stressed (i.e., overtired) hiccups can be a result.
So, what should you do with your baby(s) with hiccups? There really isn't anything to do about it. Know that the baby isn't in any pain. Most of the time it's more upsetting for the mother. I would suggest that you keep an eye a possibilty of reflux discomfort. Also, notice if hiccups arrive when your baby has been awake for longer than normal. Feel free to use your Soothies! Pacifiers can help babies to wind down when overtired. If you want try Gripe Water; I had one client that thought it helped. But again, no worries about hiccups.

Do you have the crankies in your house?
1. Soothe with a pacifer. If a burp is hidden the pacifier will calm encough to release the burp.
2. Is it time for him to sleep? Fussing a tell tale sign that he is ready to sleep.
3.Fussing but ready to sleep? Turn on the white noise machine to calm him. The white noise machine mimics the shushing sound heard in the womb.
4. Swaddled. Swaddling calms the baby by taking the stress of the limbs that he is not able to control.
5. Holding tightly and give a steady pat on his bottom will calm him.
6. Walk away from the stimulation. When babies are over stimulated they cry out in stress.
7. If fussing is a regular part of your day talk with your pediatrician. Daily fussing can be discomfort from reflux.
